Two ferocious species met for a duel in an African lake recently.

A trio of young lions and a muscular crocodile faced off at the Samburu National Reserve in Kenya. The three-on-one fight was over the meat of a dead elephant.

The battle was too much for the lone crocodile, and the lions secured the meat to feed on for weeks to come.

The scene was videotaped by a tourist, Kai Banks.
