The new line will begin to roll out in some U.S. stores in mid-February. Target has been under fire for offering not enough plus-size options.
“This line is developed specifically for a woman who loves fashion and who happens to be plus-size,” said company spokesman Joshua Thomas.
For the new line, the company hired three prominent plus-size fashion bloggers who could promote the line and provide feedback on the collection. The three women -- Gabi Gregg, Nicolette Mason and Chastity Garner -- announced last August that they were boycotting the company for failing to introduce larger sizes.
