There are many universities in many countries, and there are a few great universities in the world. Many student study hard to get in those universities, but nowadays, students cannot enter such renowned colleges by just studying hard.

University education should be free. Most universities charge students an expensive tuition. However, some students cannot afford that much money, so they often give up their dreams. The lack of money can shatter students’ dream and hope. This should not happen. Some universities offer scholarship for students, but most students who get scholarships tend to have been given high-quality education since their childhood. Without scholarships, poor students have to borrow money from banks, which can create a serious debt problem for the young.

This situation could worsen Korea’s economic slump in the future. Money has to be circulated efficiently for the economic development, but if students are busy paying debt, the economy will not be able to advance. On the other hand, the German government has raised taxes but keeps tuition free in a bid to offer great welfare to the people. No wonder, Germany‘s economic system is one of the best in the world.
