Americans chose Paris as the most romantic city in the world, a survey showed.

In a recent poll commissioned by travel agency Expedia, 1,027 Americans were asked a range of romance-related questions, including which cities offer the most attractive dating populations and which destinations are most romantic.

The results showed that 69 percent of respondents selected Paris as the most romantic city in the world, where they want to spend the coming Valentine’s Day.

The list of the world’s 10 most romantic cities is as follows:

2. Rome
3. Florence
4. New York
5. Barcelona
6. Rio de Janeiro
7. San Francisco
8. Cancun
9. London
10. Vienna
